On August 25th, 2020 in the Jan Olszewski conference room at the Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk, the development plans for Westerplatte and the War of 1939 Museum were unveiled.
The audience included experts from the museum industry, military representatives, architects, scientists and journalists. The guests learned about the planned route of the museum tour and the plans for rebuilding selected buildings of the Military Transit Depot. The concept of future exhibitions, which will be part of the Westerplatte and War 1939 Museum grounds was also discussed and the plans for a refurbished Polish Army Military Cemetery at Westerplatte were presented. The event was streamed live on Museum of WWII in Gdansk’s social media.
